Grammy nominations 2026: Full list of nominees in every major category, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist

While music’s biggest night isn’t until Feb. 1, the 68th annual Grammy Awards is promising to be an unforgettable one. Kendrick Lamar, who made history at the 2025 Grammys for winning all five awards he was nominated for with his diss track “Not Like Us,” leads the pack with nine nominations.

Lady Gaga earned seven nominations this year, topping her previous record of six in 2010. The Mother Monster landed nominations in three of four major categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Gaga was tied with producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut, who each nabbed seven nominations.

Bad Bunny, recently announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performer, received six. The Debí Tirar Más Fotos hitmaker is in the running for Album of the Year, Best Música Urbana Album and the newly unveiled Best Album Cover category, among others.

Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, who also won big at last year’s awards show, are repeat nominees. Roan earned two Grammy nods — Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance — for her track, “The Subway.” Carpenter received six nominations, the same as last year, in categories including Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Should Carpenter win Best Pop Vocal Album at this year’s awards show, she’ll become the first artist to take home that award in back-to-back years.

And the Best New Artist category is brimming with up-and-coming talent, with nominees including Addison Rae, Olivia Dean, Katseye and Lola Young.

The full list of nominees is here. Take a look at some of the most notable 2026 Grammy nominations below.

Why Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ won’t be nominated this year

Sorry, Swifties: Taylor Swift’s record-breaking album, The Life of a Showgirl , won’t be on the Grammys ballot this year. Swift’s 12-track LP was released on Oct. 3, about a month after the cutoff for 2026 Grammy Award consideration.

The Recording Academy, according to Billboard, cast ballots for music released from Aug. 31, 2024, through Aug. 30, 2025, which means Showgirl missed the mark. The album will, however, qualify for the 2027 awards show.

While Swift won’t be adding any gramophone statuettes to her repertoire in 2026, she still has much to celebrate. In addition to having the largest first-week debut in U.S. history, with more than 4 million album-equivalent units sold, Showgirl had the most vinyl sales in a single week and set a new record for most streams for a song in a single day. All 12 of the album’s tracks also entered the Billboard Hot 100.

      Predicted nominee: Sabrina Carpenter

For Taylor Swift’s protégé Sabrina Carpenter, one or more Grammy nominations seem plausible. Just over a year after releasing her Grammy-winning album, Short n’ Sweet, Carpenter surprised fans with the impromptu debut of her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend. The album was also released on Aug. 29, making it eligible for Grammy consideration.

Carpenter, according to Billboard, will likely compete for Best Pop Vocal Album with Man’s Best Friend, the same category she won last year, with Short n’ Sweet. Should she manage a repeat win, she’ll become the first artist to take home that award in back-to-back years.
